Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary

A beautiful sight to behold is majestic Victoria Peak, towering over the Maya Mountain range. The foothills below are home to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and all its wildlife, including the graceful jaguar. Enter the Sanctuary at the village of Maya Center on the Hummingbird Highway. There are 12 self-guided hiking trails and camping facilities are available.
